AN ACT

 

amending section 15-342.02, arizona revised statutes; repealing section 15-712.01, Arizona Revised Statutes; amending title 15, chapter 7, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding a new section 15-712.01; relating to school curricula.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Section 15-342.02, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:

START_STATUTE15-342.02.  Abuse policies

A school district governing board may prescribe and enforce policies and procedures to address incidents of dating abuse involving students at school that may be based on a model dating abuse policy. END_STATUTE

Sec. 2.  Repeal

Section 15-712.01, Arizona Revised Statutes, is repealed.

Sec. 3.  Title 15, chapter 7, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section 15-712.01, to read:

START_STATUTE15-712.01.  Prohibition on dating instruction

Notwithstanding section 15-342.02, a school district may not provide instruction or advice to students on dating. END_STATUTE
