H.R. No. 95       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, The members of Glen Cove Baptist Church marked the   125th anniversary of their church's founding on August 12, 2025;   and          WHEREAS, This venerable religious institution was organized   as Glen Cove Missionary Baptist Church on August 12, 1900, with 24   charter members; initially meeting at the local Methodist church,   the congregation purchased its current site in 1948 and held its   first service in the renovated Bowen School Building the following   year; over the succeeding decades, the church added a fellowship   hall and parsonage, and in 2015, its members dedicated a new   sanctuary; and          WHEREAS, Since its founding, Glen Cove Baptist Church has   benefited from the dedicated efforts of many outstanding clergy,   including Pastor Zachery Ailshie, who has led the congregation   since 2007; and          WHEREAS, United by their shared faith and strong traditions,   the members of this notable house of worship have established a   variety of commendable programs that foster fellowship and offer   help to those in need, including numerous missions and outreach   efforts; moreover, in 2008, the church spearheaded the creation of   a local volunteer fire department; and          WHEREAS, Countless area residents have looked to Glen Cove   Baptist Church for spiritual guidance over the years, and it is a   pleasure to join in honoring the church at this special time in its   history; now, therefore, be it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commemorate the 125th   anniversary of Glen Cove Baptist Church and extend to its members   sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further          RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be   prepared for the church as an expression of high regard by the Texas   House of Representatives.     Darby     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
