Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. §1. That the Department of Health shall amend regulations governing written physician's orders not to resuscitate a patient in the event of cardiac or respiratory arrest made on a form other than the authorized state standardized Durable DNR Form under policies and procedures of the health care facility to which the person who is the subject of the order has been admitted, also known as Other Durable Do Not Resuscitate Orders, to require signed and witnessed informed consent to such orders.
