SENATE BILL 1120
An Act
amending section 41-1093.07, Arizona Revised Statutes; amending title 41, chapter 6, article 11, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 41-1093.08; relating to occupational regulation.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Section 41-1093.07, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:
START_STATUTE41-1093.07. Private employers; effect of article; occupational association
A. This article does not:
1. Require a private employer to grant or deny employment to any individual.
2. Impair the right of private employers to establish and enforce eligibility criteria, ethics codes or disciplinary policies.
B. Notwithstanding any other law, an occupational association that has disciplinary authority over its members may investigate a complaint and take disciplinary or enforcement action resulting from a complaint only if the complainant has a substantial nexus with the person who is the subject of the complaint. Sec. 2. Title 41, chapter 6, article 11, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 41-1093.08, to read:
START_STATUTE41-1093.08. Agency complaints; substantial nexus
Notwithstanding any other law, an agency may investigate a complaint and take disciplinary or enforcement action resulting from a complaint only if the complainant has a substantial nexus with the person who is the subject of the complaint. END_STATUTE
