H.R. No. 105       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, The Palmview 16U baseball team achieved great   distinction by winning the 2025 Colt League Baseball World Series,   held in Marion, Illinois; and          WHEREAS, A group of talented 16-and-under ballplayers, the   Palmview athletes began their journey to the title by capturing the   South Zone tournament championship; in the opening Colt World   Series contest against Fukuoka, Japan, on August 1, the team   surrendered just one hit in a commanding 5-1 win; Palmview then   squared off against Southern Illinois on August 3, and hot hitting   in the bottom of the fourth inning propelled the squad to an 8-4   victory; after dropping a game against Youngstown, Ohio, Palmview   erupted for six runs in the third inning of the rematch to secure an   11-4 decision and clinch a spot in the championship game; and          WHEREAS, On August 5, Palmview took the field against   Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, with the crown on the line; trailing by two   runs in the bottom of the third inning, the Texas players scored   three runs to take the lead, and clutch pitching the rest of the way   led to a 5-2 triumph and the Colt League World Series championship;   and          WHEREAS, Excelling with a true team effort, Palmview   benefited from the valuable contributions made by each member of   the roster: Mateo Herrera, Isaiah Olivares, Alex Bocanegra, Jayden   Gutierrez, Samuel De Leon, Axel Pulido, Gael Zambrano, Ramiro   Alejandro Leon, Osi Lopez, Joaquin Barrientos, Javier Lopez,   Matthew Azuara, and Edgar Quintanilla; these determined athletes   were ably guided by coaches Juan Lopez and Brian Valencia; and          WHEREAS, The members of the Palmview baseball team proudly   represented their state and the Rio Grande Valley in one of the   premier showcases for youth athletics, and they will treasure their   memories of this accomplishment for many years to come; now,   therefore, be it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate the Palmview   16U baseball team on winning the 2025 Colt League Baseball World   Series and extend to the players and coaches sincere best wishes for   the future; and, be it further          RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be   prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas   House of Representatives.     Muñoz     ______________________________   Speaker of the House                 I certify that H.R.
