89S20436 AMB-D     By: Lujan H.R. No. 45       R E S O L U T I O N          WHEREAS, Members of American Legion Post No. 667 in Universal   City are gathering together on September 20, 2025, to celebrate the   post's 50th anniversary; and          WHEREAS, The American Legion has built a proud tradition of   serving military personnel, families, and communities throughout   the country; with more than 1.6 million members, the organization   is a leading advocate for veterans and active duty service members;   in addition, it provides vital support for the U.S. armed forces and   strives to instill the values of responsible citizenship among   young people; and          WHEREAS, First chartered in 1975, Post No. 667 has furthered   the mission of the American Legion through its dedicated work in   northeastern Bexar County; the group's wide-ranging initiatives   have made a positive difference in the lives of area veterans while   focusing public attention on the heritage and achievements of the   United States military; and          WHEREAS, The members of Universal City Post No. 667 have   contributed to the exceptional legacy of the American Legion, and   they are performing a valuable service through their ongoing   efforts to benefit their community and all those who have valiantly   served our nation in the armed forces; now, therefore, be it          RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas   Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commemorate the 50th   anniversary of American Legion Post No. 667 and extend sincere best   wishes to its members for continued success with their important   work; and, be it further          RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be   prepared for the post as an expression of high regard by the Texas   House of Representatives.
