amending title 15, chapter 1, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 15-120.05; relating to public schools.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Title 15, chapter 1, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 15-120.05, to read:

START_STATUTE15-120.05. Career and technical education programs; funding

Notwithstanding any other law, a school district or charter school may provide career and technical education programs on the same terms, including funding from the department of education, and subject to the same program requirements as a career technical education district that is formed pursuant to section 15-392. This section does not allow a school district or charter school to receive monies pursuant to the tax rate associated with joining a career technical education district pursuant to section 15-392, subsection B.
