AN ACT

 

providing for APPROPRIATION reductions to the arizona health care cost containment system administration.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Arizona health care cost containment system administration; appropriation reductions; fiscal year 2025-2026

A. In addition to any other appropriations made in fiscal year 2025-2026, notwithstanding section 36-2901.07, Arizona Revised Statutes, the sum of $(2,000,000) is reduced from appropriations made from the state general fund in fiscal year 2025-2026 to the Arizona health care cost containment system administration for a freeze on enrollment for individuals who are eligible pursuant to section 36-2901.07, Arizona Revised Statutes.

B. In addition to any other appropriations made in fiscal year 2025-2026, notwithstanding section 36-2901.01, Arizona Revised Statutes, the sum of $(31,000,000) is reduced from appropriations made from the state general fund in fiscal year 2025-2026 to the Arizona health care cost containment system administration for a freeze on enrollment for individuals without dependent children who are eligible pursuant to section 36-2901.01, Arizona Revised Statutes.

C. In addition to any other appropriations made in fiscal year 2025-2026, the sum of $(75,000,000) is reduced from appropriations made from the state general fund in fiscal year 2025-2026 to the Arizona health care cost containment system administration and, notwithstanding section 36-2901.09, Arizona Revised Statutes, monies from the hospital assessment fund established by section 36-2901.09, Arizona Revised Statutes, are redirected to cover the nonfederal share of the costs of the traditional medicaid population.
