89R14593 GP-F     By: Campos H.B. No. 4168       A BILL TO BE ENTITLED   AN ACT   relating to requirements for the renewal of a physician's   registration permit.          BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:          SECTION 1.  Section 156.001, Occupations Code, is amended by   adding Subsection (d-1) to read as follows:          (d-1)  If the license holder supervises or delegates medical   acts to any non-physician health care provider, the license holder   shall state on the registration renewal application that the   license holder has provided proper supervision and has properly   delegated medical acts:                (1)  generally, for any non-physician health care   provider; and                (2)  specifically, for any advanced practice   registered nurse or physician assistant with whom the license   holder has entered into a prescriptive authority agreement under   Section 157.0512.          SECTION 2.  Not later than December 1, 2025, the Texas   Medical Board by rule shall prescribe the method by which a   physician who renews the physician's registration permit may make   and electronically sign the statement required by Section   156.001(d-1), Occupations Code, as added by this Act.          SECTION 3.  Section 156.001(d-1), Occupations Code, as added   by this Act, applies only to an application for renewal of a   registration permit submitted on or after January 1, 2026.          SECTION 4.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
